Key Responsibilities

• Provide advanced nursing care to ICU patients in a hospital setting.
• Monitor patient vitals and manage complex medical equipment such as ventilators, telemetry systems, and infusion pumps.
• Administer medications and therapies per physician orders.
• Respond to patient emergencies and collaborate with interdisciplinary team members.
• Document patient care accurately in electronic health records.
• Maintain compliance with hospital policies and safety procedures.

Required Qualifications

• Active nursing license in good standing, with Kentucky or Compact license at submission.
• Minimum of 2 years ICU experience in a hospital setting.
• BLS and ACLS certifications current and valid.
• Current NIH certification (must be renewed annually).
• Proficiency in telemetry monitoring, vent management, and therapeutic procedures.

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience with chest tubes, NG tubes, wound vacs, drains, post-dialysis assessment, central lines, blood transfusions.
• Comfort working with advanced equipment like BiPap and CPap, and performing procedures such as paracentesis.
• Ability to float to PCU, third floor, or ED as needed.
