Key Responsibilities

• Provide respiratory therapy services to pediatric and high-acuity patients in a Level IV NICU, PICU, and Cardiothoracic ICU.
• Manage and treat patients with trachs, vents, suctioning, oxygen therapy, and pulmonary support.
• Collaborate within multiple ICU units, demonstrating strong pediatric ICU skills.
• Ensure compliance with all patient care protocols, safety standards, and certification requirements.
• Document patient progress and therapy details accurately within hospital systems.

Required Qualifications

• California Registered Respiratory Care Practitioner (RCP) license in hand.
• NBRC RRT national certification (Advanced level preferred or registered prior to start).
• Minimum of 1 year experience in a Level IV NICU, Trauma Level I, or comparable ICU setting.
• Current BLS, PALS, and NRP (or registered for an advanced NRP class).
• Experience with pediatric ventilators, trachs, and oxygen therapy.
• Must have or be working toward Advanced level NRP certification.

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Pediatric ICU experience across multiple ICU units including NICU, PICU, and cardiothoracic ICU.
• Experience in a high-acuity, trauma, or children’s hospital environment.
• Ability to float within scope to satellite locations and other hospital units.
