Schedule / Job Type
- Full-time, night shifts, 4 shifts per week, 12 hours per shift
Key Responsibilities
- Provide specialized nursing care for trauma, surgical, and multi-system-injured patients on a 5S Trauma Stepdown unit
- Collaborate within a multidisciplinary team to deliver comprehensive patient care
- Manage patient monitoring including telemetry, vents, and conscious sedation
- Float within scope to meet facility needs and ensure optimal patient outcomes
- Facilitate patient recovery and education, ensuring safety and comfort during intermediate care
Required Qualifications
- WV or Compact RN license (pending license acceptable)
- Minimum of 2 years recent RN experience, including 1 year in ICU, Trauma, or PCU/Stepdown
- BLS and ACLS certification via American Heart Association
- Valid driver’s license and SSN required for application
- Current and clean nursing license with no probationary actions
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Experience with vents, telemetry, and level 1 trauma protocols
- CPI and PALS certification (preferred)
- Strong IV start skills and conscious sedation experience
