• Full-time, Night shifts (12-hour shifts, 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM)

Key Responsibilities

• Provide bedside care to Post-Op surgical cardiovascular and medical cardiac patients requiring telemetry and progressive monitoring.
• Assist with vascular patients, amputations, and detox patients as part of the cardiac unit team.
• Perform duties related to invasive procedures such as central lines, PICCs, chest tubes, and wound vacs.
• Administer and monitor cardiac drips including Heparin, Amnio, and Cardizem per physician orders.
• Document patient care using Cerner electronic charting system.
• Float within scope to meet facility needs, ensuring high standards of patient care.

Required Qualifications

• Active WV or Compact RN license (pending licenses accepted).
• Minimum of 2 years of RN experience in a telemetry, ICU, or PCU setting.
• BLS certification from the American Heart Association.
• Proven competency in IV starts, telemetry, and Cardiac Care procedures.

Preferred Experience / Skills

• ACLS and PALS certifications from the American Heart Association.
• Experience with complex procedures such as Ostomies, Chest Tubes, and Wound Vacs.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, high-acuity environment.

Additional Information

• Shifts: Available for 36 or 48 hours weekly, with every other weekend required.
• Travel compliance: Must reside more than 100 miles from the facility, with limited exceptions.
• Documentation: Full electronic submission including work history, licensure, references, and certifications required by noon prior to start.
• Orientation held every other Thursday.
