• Registered Nurse - Medical Surgical/Tele

Schedule / Job Type

• Full-time, night shift, 3x12-hour shifts per week (7:00 PM – 7:30 AM)

Key Responsibilities

• Provide specialized nursing care for stable trauma and surgical patients across pre-op and post-op settings.
• Utilize rapid response teams, administer blood products, and manage peripheral lines.
• Care for high-volume patient populations including laparoscopic surgeries, mastectomies, trauma, and plastic surgery.
• Support patients with palliative care, observation, and medical overflow cases.
• Ensure compliance with all hospital protocols, including EKG testing, licenses, and background checks.
• Float between multiple hospital campuses as needed.

Required Qualifications

• Valid RN license in the state of North Carolina.
• Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience, including surgical or trauma care.
• BLS certification, ACLS preferred.
• Knowledge of EPIC electronic health record system.
• Ability to pass a Pass/Fail EKG exam during compliance.
• Education verification and clear background check required.

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Prior experience in surgical trauma units or similar fast-paced environments.
• First-time travelers are welcome.
• Strong understanding of blood product administration and peripheral line management.
