• Registered Nurse - IMC/PCU/Stepdown

Schedule / Job Type

• Full-time, night shifts, 3x12-hour shifts per week

Key Responsibilities

• Provide specialized nursing care to patients in the IMC, PCU, and Stepdown units.
• Monitor patients' conditions using central cardiac monitoring and respond to changes as needed.
• Administer medications, perform assessments, and document clinical interventions accurately.
• Collaborate with healthcare team members to ensure quality patient care.
• Support patients with neurological and cardiac needs, including CVA, CPAP/BiPAP, and swallowing assessments.
• Float across various Cone Health facilities as required, including holiday coverage.

Required Qualifications

• Valid nursing license in the state of North Carolina.
• Minimum of 2 years of recent experience in a neuro, PCU, or stepdown unit.
• Current BLS, ACLS, and NIH certifications.
• Experience with neuro patients and medications/systems such as Yale Swallowing screen, TR band.
• EPIC experience and ability to pass a pass/fail EKG exam.
• Ability to complete compliance requirements by deadlines.

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Previous charge nurse experience.
• Experience working with external CPAP/BiPAP and comprehensive cardiac monitoring systems.
