Registered Nurse - IMC/PCU/Stepdown

Location: Greensboro, NC

Schedule / Job Type: Full-time, on-site, rotating shifts (days), 3 shifts per week (12-hour shifts)

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide direct patient care to neurological and medical patients in a progressive care setting.
• Monitor patients using centralized cardiac monitoring systems.
• Collaborate with healthcare team members to develop and implement patient care plans.
• Ensure compliance with all clinical protocols, including pass/fail EKG requirements.
• Document patient care accurately and thoroughly in electronic health records.
• Float across various hospital units as needed and participate in mandatory holiday shifts.

Required Qualifications:

• Valid RN license in the state of North Carolina.
• Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience, specifically in neuro PCU or similar units.
• BLS, ACLS, NIHSS certifications required.
• Experience with CVA, external CPAP/BiPAP, TR bands, and Yale Swallowing Screen preferred.
• Ability to pass the mandated Pass/Fail EKG exam.
• Good understanding of neuro and cardiac patient care.
• Prior charge nurse experience is preferred but not required.

Preferred Experience / Skills:

• Previous experience in a neuro or cardiac progressive care unit.
• Experience with EPIC electronic medical record system.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
