Job Title

• Tech - MLT/Medical Technologist/Clinical Lab Scientist

Location

• Johns Island, SC

Schedule / Job Type

• Full-time, Night shift, 3x12-hour shifts (7:00 PM – 7:30 AM), possible rotation (7:00 AM – 7:30 PM), no call, every other weekend

Key Responsibilities

• Support high-quality laboratory testing in a clinical setting
• Prepare specimens for testing and perform routine and specialized laboratory tests
• Conduct quality control procedures, troubleshoot errors, and maintain laboratory instruments
• Recognize normal and abnormal values, interpret data, and communicate findings effectively
• Participate in training, continuing education, and adhere to laboratory standards and safety protocols

Required Qualifications

• Certification as a Medical Laboratory Scientist or Medical Laboratory Technician by ASCP BOC or equivalent
• At least 3 years of generalist laboratory experience
• South Carolina RN license or pending application with proof of application (preferred but not mandatory)
• Ability to comply with radius rule of 60 miles and local hiring considerations

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Previous experience supporting high-complexity laboratory testing
• Ability to troubleshoot laboratory instruments and perform preventative maintenance
• Strong communication skills for technical and non-technical audiences
