• Full-time, 12-hour night shifts, 3 shifts per week

Key Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality nursing care to adult patients in a medical-surgical unit with private and semi-private rooms.
• Monitor and respond to patient needs, including titration of drips such as Heparin, and manage oxygen therapy up to 6L NC, BiPAP, and CPAP.
• Collaborate with charge nurses, house supervisors, and support staff to ensure safe and effective patient care.
• Utilize telemedicine equipment and monitor telemetry remotely, ensuring prompt response to abnormal findings.
• Document patient assessments, interventions, and progress accurately and efficiently.
• Assist in patient safety initiatives, including IV starts and blood draws, with available inpatient phlebotomy support.

Required Qualifications

• Active Illinois RN license or confirmation of application process.
• BLS certification required; ACLS preferred for Charge RN positions.
• Experience with hospital patient care, preferably 1 year or more.
• Ability to titrate drips, specifically Heparin.
• Knowledge of telemetry monitoring and troubleshooting.
• Must adhere to OSF policy including drug-free campus and negative drug screening.

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Prior experience in medical-surgical units with adult patient populations.
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
• Familiarity with hospital equipment like vents, CPAP, BiPAP, and telemetry systems.
