- 13-week travel assignment, full-time, nights (12-hour shifts), on-site
Key Responsibilities
- Provides specialized nursing care to patients in intermediate and progressive care units
- Monitors cardiac rhythms and interprets telemetry and EKGs accurately
- Administers cardiac and anti-arrhythmic IV infusions, managing and titrating as needed
- Manages patients with chest tubes, NG tubes, wound vacs, and drains, following unit protocols
- Performs therapeutic phlebotomy and other advanced procedures
- Collaborates with interdisciplinary team to ensure quality patient outcomes
Required Qualifications
- Active Kentucky nursing license (or applicable compact license)
- Minimum of 2 years clinical experience in a hospital setting, preferably in ICU or progressive care units
- BLS and ACLS certifications current and maintained
- Current NIH certification (must be renewed annually)
- Proficiency in telemetry monitoring and EKG interpretation
- Experience with cardiac care, including post-PCI patients and IV infusions management
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Prior experience managing CPap/BiPap therapy and port access
- Knowledge of chest tubes, NG tubes, wound vacs, and blood transfusions
- Familiarity with Meditech Expanse documentation system
- Experience with post-dialysis assessments and central line management

- Shift: Nights, 12-hour shifts, three per week, every other weekend
- Floating allowed to related units as needed
