Schedule / Job Type

• Full-time, 4 days per week, 10.5 hours per shift (days shift)

Key Responsibilities

• Provide independent nursing care in the operating room, demonstrating clinical competence and awareness of all relevant aspects of patient situations.
• Perform routine and complex patient assessments, diagnoses, planning, interventions, and evaluations in accordance with professional standards.
• Administer medications and treatments following appropriate protocols, monitoring for efficacy and side effects.
• Document patient history, symptoms, medications, and care provided accurately.
• Educate patients, families, and caregivers regarding procedures, care plans, and post-operative instructions.
• Delegate and coordinate tasks effectively with other healthcare team members to ensure optimal patient outcomes.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing (preferred)
• RN licensure in Texas or a compact state
• BLS certification (American Heart Association preferred)

Preferred Experience / Skills

• At least 1 year of experience in the operating room nursing specialty
• Proven ability to manage complex clinical situations independently
• Strong communication and patient education skills
