- Full-time, 4 days per week, 10.5 hours per shift (days shift)
Key Responsibilities
- Provide independent nursing care in the operating room, demonstrating clinical competence and awareness of all relevant aspects of patient situations.
- Perform routine and complex patient assessments, diagnoses, planning, interventions, and evaluations in accordance with professional standards.
- Administer medications and treatments following appropriate protocols, monitoring for efficacy and side effects.
- Document patient history, symptoms, medications, and care provided accurately.
- Educate patients, families, and caregivers regarding procedures, care plans, and post-operative instructions.
- Delegate and coordinate tasks effectively with other healthcare team members to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing (preferred)
- RN licensure in Texas or a compact state
- BLS certification (American Heart Association preferred)
Preferred Experience / Skills
- At least 1 year of experience in the operating room nursing specialty
- Proven ability to manage complex clinical situations independently
- Strong communication and patient education skills
