Key Responsibilities

• Provide skilled nursing care to patients in intermediate care, progressive care, and stepdown units.
• Monitor patient vitals, administer medications, and manage cardiac drips and other IV therapies.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement patient care plans.
• Respond to patient emergencies and perform emergent procedures such as thoracentesis when required.
• Document patient information accurately in the electronic medical record system.
• Maintain patient safety and comfort while adhering to hospital policies and protocols.

Required Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Texas.
• BLS, ACLS, and NIH certifications.
• At least 1 year of recent ICU, PCU, or stepdown experience.
• Ability to work 12-hour shifts.

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience with telemetry monitoring and emergent procedures.
• Preceptor or charge nurse experience.
• Compassionate team player with strong communication skills and integrity.
• Familiarity with advanced equipment such as bedside monitors, Bipap, and restraints.
