• Registered Nurse - Medical Surgical/Tele
Location
• Tuscaloosa, AL
Schedule / Job Type
• Travel, Nights (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM), 36 hours per week, 13-week assignment
Key Responsibilities
• Provide acute care nursing to trauma, surgical, orthopedic, and urology patients in a busy hospital unit
• Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team to develop and implement patient care plans
• Float to other units and hospitals as needed, maintaining flexibility and professionalism
• Deliver individualized patient attention, ensuring comfort and safety during hospitalization
• Adhere to all facility policies, including holiday and weekend shift requirements
Required Qualifications
• Associated degree in nursing (ADN or higher)
• Active Alabama or Compact Registered Nurse license (no temporary licenses accepted)
• Current BLS certification through AHA or Red Cross
• At least 2 years of clinical nursing experience, or 18 months with a specialty focus and permission from supervising authority
• Experience working in a trauma or surgical unit preferred
Preferred Experience / Skills
• Experience in trauma, orthopedics, or urology nursing
• Ability to work independently in high-pressure environments
• Strong team collaboration and communication skills
