Schedule / Job Type

• Full-time, Night shift (3x12-hour shifts per week)

Key Responsibilities

• Provide specialized care for ICU patients, including management of multi-system organ failure, ventilator management, and infusion therapies.
• Interpret telemetry data, perform EKGs, and monitor dysrhythmias.
• Administer medications such as IV sedation, neuromuscular blockers, and vasoactive drips.
• Assist with procedures including chest tube insertion/removal, wound care, and arterial line management.
• Follow infection prevention protocols and ensure proper use of PPE.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team to implement critical care protocols, including stroke management and hypothermia protocols.

Required Qualifications

• Valid California RN license.
• Minimum of 3 years of ICU experience.
• Certifications: ACLS, BLS, CA MAB or VIPN, NIHSS.
• Proficiency with FloTrac/Vigileo monitoring and interpretation of ABGs and dysrhythmias.
• Experience with ventilator management, IV pump management, and arterial line care.
• Ability to perform phlebotomy and manage surgical wounds with drains or wound vacs.

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience in CCU or trauma ICU settings.
• Familiarity with critical care protocols like CVA/Stroke management and hypothermia therapy.
• Ability to float to other units such as Tele or Medical Telemetry if needed.
