Key Responsibilities

• Provide specialized ICU nursing care in a busy hospital setting with units including MICU and SICU.
• Monitor and manage critically ill patients using advanced equipment such as tele monitors, EV1000, ventilators, and bladder scanners.
• Administer medications, including titration of drips and neuro management, and perform procedures like intubation, trach care, chest tube insertion, and thoracentesis.
• Ensure patient safety and comfort by managing invasive and non-invasive ventilation, dialysis (SLED), EVD, and other critical interventions.
• Follow unit policies, documentation protocols, and safety guidelines to deliver high-quality patient care.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team and float across ICU, step-down, and tele units as needed.

Required Qualifications

• Valid RN license in the state of California.
• Minimum of 1 year ICU experience.
• Current certifications in ACLS, BLS, and NIH.
• Experience with ICU procedures such as A-line management, CVC management, cardiac monitoring, pulmonary artery catheters, lumbar drains, and EVD management.

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience in neuro management, trauma, and advanced ventilatory support.
• Skills in managing complex procedures like bronchoscopy, tracheostomy, and intubation.
• Familiarity with Meditech electronic health record system.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-acuity environment with a team-oriented approach.
