Job Title

• Registered Nurse - IMC/PCU/Stepdown

Schedule / Job Type

• Full-time, night shifts (4 nights per week, 12 hours each)
• 48-hour contract with overtime paid after 48 hours

Key Responsibilities

• Provide advanced nursing care in Intensive Medical Care, Progressive Care Unit, or Stepdown units.
• Collaborate in team nursing model, working alongside a PCT to manage patient care and workload.
• Monitor and interpret telemetry, ventilator support, and infusion therapies, including drips such as insulin, heparin, and Cardizem.
• Maintain compliance with unit protocols, including N95 fitting and competency assessments.
• Facilitate patient safety and comfort for populations with COPD, CHF, pneumonia, sepsis, DKA, post-COVID, and other critical conditions.
• Support respiratory therapy treatments, including trachs, vents, bipaps, and high-oxygen needs.

Required Qualifications

• Valid RN license (state license or compact license accepted)
• Minimum of 1.5 years of RN experience, with some Level 1 or 2 trauma experience preferred
• Valid BLS and ACLS certifications
• Ventilator management experience
• Ability to interpret EKG strips, with passing of an online tele competency assessment prior to start
• Experience with EPIC electronic medical record system
• Must have prior experience in Stepdown or progressive care units with a 1:5 ratio, explicitly listed in work history

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Travel nursing experience
• Previous experience floating between units or multiple facilities within a health system
• Experience managing complex patient cases like COPD, CHF, and high-acuity post-COVID care
