Location: Alexandria, LA
Schedule / Job Type: Full-time, Days shifts, 12-hour shifts, travel/contract role with potential temp-to-perm opportunity

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide comprehensive nursing care to patients with cardiac and related conditions, including MI, CHF, arrhythmias, and PVD.
• Administer medications and treatments following established protocols, monitoring for side-effects and effectiveness.
• Assess patient history, symptoms, and medication, documenting all care provided accurately.
• Educate patients, family members, and caregivers on care plans, medication management, and health needs.
• Collaborate with healthcare team members to develop and implement patient care plans, ensuring adherence to best practices and standards.
• Demonstrate independence in clinical decision-making and make appropriate assignments or delegate tasks as needed.

Required Qualifications:

• Current RN license in the state of employment or a valid compact license.
• BLS certification; ACLS certification required before start date.
• Minimum 1 year of nursing experience, preferably in telemetry or a cardiac-related specialty.
• Ability to work 12-hour days, 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. shifts.

Preferred Experience / Skills:

• Experience managing cardiac drips and complex cardiac patient care.
• Strong knowledge of the nursing process, with the ability to handle complex patient needs and contingencies.
• Flexibility to accommodate occasional schedule variations and block scheduling.
