Respiratory Therapist
Location: Bemidji, MN
Schedule / Job Type: Full-time, Days shift

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform diagnostic pulmonary function tests including spirometry, diffusion testing, lung volumes, airway resistance, and respiratory muscle force assessments on patients aged 5 and up.
• Conduct outpatient procedures such as six-minute walk tests, home oxygen evaluations, sputum inductions, and administration of pentamidine nebulizers.
• Calibrate, clean, and maintain diagnostic equipment; recognize and troubleshoot equipment malfunctions.
• Administer respiratory therapies and provide patient education on medication and equipment use.
• Document procedure results accurately using EMR systems and ensure compliance with departmental protocols.

Required Qualifications:

• CRT or RRT license.
• BLS certification from the American Heart Association.
• One year of experience working in a pulmonary function lab.
• Ability to perform pulmonary function tests on patients age 5 and older.

Preferred Experience / Skills:

• Experience with pulmonary function lab procedures and equipment.
• Familiarity with EPIC EMR and MGC Diagnostics Platinum Elite Plethysmography PFT machine.
