Schedule / Job Type

• Full-time, day shifts, 10-hour shifts, 4 shifts per week

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care utilizing the nursing process across various departments or locations within a 20-mile radius.
• Assess, plan, implement, evaluate, and document patient needs, treatments, and responses.
• Collaborate with patients, families, and healthcare team members to coordinate comprehensive care.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed, ensuring adherence to protocols and documentation standards.
• Educate patients and families on care, discharge instructions, and health management during and after hospitalization.
• Supervise and support LPNs and assistive personnel in delivering quality care.
• Complete education and competency assessments specific to patient population, age, procedures, and protocols.

Required Qualifications

• Current RN license in the State of New Mexico or a Compact State license.
• Minimum of 2 years of recent experience in a large operating room setting.
• Ability to scrub during procedures.
• BLS certification required; ACLS and PALS certifications preferred.
• Successful completion of at least one 13-week travel assignment.

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience with Epic EMR system is a plus but not required (training available).
• Orthopedic, EENT, and/or Vascular OR experience are advantages.
• Flexible team player accustomed to fast-paced environments.
