Key Responsibilities

• Assist in delivering quality healthcare by applying sound nursing judgment in accordance with established standards and policies.
• Participate actively as a member of the healthcare team to coordinate patient care involving patients, families, and caregivers.
• Administer medications and treatments, perform examinations, and utilize various medical equipment.
• Follow safety protocols and maintain compliance with healthcare procedures and documentation.
• Communicate effectively with patients and staff to ensure optimal care delivery.
• Respond calmly and effectively during emergency situations, making quick decisions as needed.

Required Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of practical nursing.
• Valid Pennsylvania Practical Nurse License.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association, renewed every two years.
• Minimum of one year of nursing experience preferred.
• Knowledge of medical terminology, ICD-10 and CPT coding, and physician office procedures.
• Ability to read, understand, and follow written and verbal instructions.
• Good communication skills and ability to react calmly in emergencies.

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience in outpatient or ambulatory care settings.
• Familiarity with safety hazards and precautions in a clinical environment.
• Ability to handle a fast-paced, high-traffic medical office.
• Physical ability to handle lifting, moving patients, and prolonged standing or walking.
