Key Responsibilities
- Assist in delivering quality healthcare by applying sound nursing judgment in accordance with established standards and policies.
- Participate actively as a member of the healthcare team to coordinate patient care involving patients, families, and caregivers.
- Administer medications and treatments, perform examinations, and utilize various medical equipment.
- Follow safety protocols and maintain compliance with healthcare procedures and documentation.
- Communicate effectively with patients and staff to ensure optimal care delivery.
- Respond calmly and effectively during emergency situations, making quick decisions as needed.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited school of practical nursing.
- Valid Pennsylvania Practical Nurse License.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association, renewed every two years.
- Minimum of one year of nursing experience preferred.
- Knowledge of medical terminology, ICD-10 and CPT coding, and physician office procedures.
- Ability to read, understand, and follow written and verbal instructions.
- Good communication skills and ability to react calmly in emergencies.
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Experience in outpatient or ambulatory care settings.
- Familiarity with safety hazards and precautions in a clinical environment.
- Ability to handle a fast-paced, high-traffic medical office.
- Physical ability to handle lifting, moving patients, and prolonged standing or walking.
