Key Responsibilities

  • Perform MRI scans according to department protocols and safety standards.
  • Operate Philips and Siemens imaging equipment for adult acute care, ICU, outpatient, ER, and trauma settings.
  • Ensure patient safety and comfort throughout the imaging process.
  • Adhere to hospital policies, including scrubbing in hunter green attire.
  • Collaborate with medical staff to provide accurate imaging diagnostics.
  • Complete required documentation and maintain equipment standards.

Required Qualifications

  • ARRT MR certification.
  • ARRT R (Radiography) certification.
  • BLS certification.
  • State licensure in Radiologic Technology.
  • Minimum of 1 year recent experience with EPIC EMR.
  • Experience working in adult acute care, ICU, ER, and outpatient settings.
  • Ability to travel 100+ miles from home to Prisma Health facilities, with compliance to travel policies.
  • Credentialed in adult ICU, adult outpatient, ER/Trauma, and related specialties.

Preferred Experience / Skills

  • Prior experience with Philips and Siemens MRI equipment.
  • Experience working with adult multi-specialty units such as cardiac, medical tele, and progressive care.
  • Ability to float across units as needed while maintaining competencies.
  • Familiarity with hospital modules and completing pre-assignment testing within required timelines.

Additional Information

  • Travel compliance required; travelers must reside more than 100 miles from Prisma facilities unless meeting specific exceptions.
  • Orientation sessions held every Monday, with required modules to be completed within 48 hours of start.
  • Modules are billable and recorded in transcripts; time spent on modules is reimbursable.
  • Floating to different units may be required based on census needs, with training to ensure competency.
