Registered Nurse - IMC/PCU/Stepdown

Schedule / Job Type:
Travel, Night shift, 12-hour shifts

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide quality nursing care to patients in the IMC/PCU/Stepdown unit.
• Monitor and manage cardiac drips such as Amiodarone, Nitroglycerin, Cardene, and Cardizem.
• Perform bedside procedures including paracentesis, thoracentesis, and PICC insertions.
• Collaborate effectively with interdisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
• Document patient care accurately using the Meditech EMR system.
• Maintain patient safety and comfort during post-surgical and diagnostic procedures.

Required Qualifications:

• Active BLS and ACLS certifications.
• Minimum of 1 year of experience in a PCU or similar unit.
• Ability to take accountability for actions and demonstrate strong clinical judgment.
• Knowledge of cardiac drips and related procedures.

Preferred Experience / Skills:

• Prior experience working in a PCU or stepdown unit for at least 6 months.
• Excellent communication skills with patients and team members.
• Comfort with using equipment such as Baxter IV pumps, Hillrom beds, and telemetry monitors.
