Key Responsibilities
- Provide skilled nursing care for patients in the Med Surg Orthopedic Spine unit at Wesley Medical Center.
- Monitor patient conditions, administer medications, and perform treatments as prescribed.
- Collaborate with the healthcare team to develop and update patient care plans.
- Ensure adherence to all safety and unit policies, including traction and orthopedic precautions.
- Document patient information accurately in the Electronic Medical Record (Meditech).
Required Qualifications
- Licensed Registered Nurse (RN) in Kansas or applicable state.
- Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience, with prior Med Surg or Orthopedic Spine experience preferred.
- Ability to work night shifts (7 PM – 7 AM).
- Experience with traction, spine, and joint precautions is highly preferred.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Familiarity with traction management and orthopedic procedures.
- Outgoing, compassionate, and team-oriented personality.
- Experience in a fast-paced hospital setting.
