Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care to adult medical-surgical and telemetry patients in a hospital setting
• Monitor and assess patient conditions, including vital signs and ECG rhythms
• Administer medications and treatments according to physician orders and facility protocols
• Document patient care activities accurately in electronic health records
• Collaborate with healthcare team members to ensure quality patient outcomes
• Comply with all hospital policies, safety procedures, and shift requirements

Required Qualifications

• Active Ohio RN license or valid Compact State license in hand at time of submission
• Minimum of 18 months of permanent experience in Medical-Surgical or Telemetry nursing prior to travel assignment
• Recent MS/Tele experience totaling at least 18 months (travel experience acceptable)
• BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications active and valid
• Ability to work at least every other holiday
• Passing ECG rhythm recognition and SafeMedicate assessments (acceptable scores required during orientation)

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience working within hospital electronic medical record systems such as Qualivis – Lotus
• Prior experience in a hospital setting with telemetry monitoring
• Strong assessment and critical thinking skills for adult patient care

Additional Information

• Shifts: 3x12-hour shifts per week, rotating between days and nights (7:00 am - 7:30 pm / 7:00 pm - 7:30 am)
• Must have a permanent Ohio license or valid Compact license (accepted for starts 1/1/23 onward)
• Candidates must complete fingerprinting, badging, and modules pre-start, which are billable up to 4 hours
• Nurses and CSTs are temporarily exempt from Nicotine-Free Facility requirements; other travelers must be nicotine-free with recent drug screening
• No license hits accepted; BCI/FBI clearance must be completed within 48 hours of contract signing
• Candidate profile submissions should include a supervisor or manager reference from the applicable specialty
