Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement nursing care plans tailored to the needs of patients in a correctional environment.
- Document and evaluate patient progress in accordance with healthcare standards and facility policies.
- Administer medications, treatments, and oversee health assessments as directed by medical providers.
- Ensure compliance with all safety and healthcare regulations within the correctional facility.
- Provide compassionate care to a diverse patient population housed at a facility with approximately 1,700 inmates.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of one year of clinical nursing experience.
- Active Ohio RN license.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association.
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Prior experience working in correctional healthcare preferred.
- Ability to handle the physical demands of the environment, including walking, standing, lifting, and pushing heavy loads with assistance.
