Schedule / Job Type
- Full-time, temporary, correctional healthcare setting, 12-hour shifts, no shift rotation
Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct nursing care to inmates/patients under supervision, including adolescents and adults, within a correctional facility housing 1,300-2,000 individuals
- Administer medications and treatments in accordance with scope of practice for Licensed Practical Nurses
- Maintain accurate documentation of patient care and status updates
- Ensure compliance with facility policies, safety standards, and patient confidentiality
- Collaborate with registered nurses and physicians to deliver comprehensive healthcare services
Required Qualifications
- Licensed Practical Nurse license issued by the State of Ohio
- Active Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association
Preferred Experience / Skills
- At least one year of clinical nursing experience
- Experience working in correctional healthcare environment (preferred but not mandatory)
