• Full-time, nights, 12-hour shifts, 3 shifts per week
Key Responsibilities
• Provide direct patient care for medical-surgical telemetry patients in a Critical Access Hospital setting
• Monitor cardiac rhythms and respond promptly to changes using advanced equipment such as Phillips cardiac monitors and Alaris IV pumps
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team including hospitalists, respiratory therapists, and ancillary staff to deliver safe, patient-centered care
• Manage a diverse patient population ranging from young adults to end-of-life, including orthopedics, urology, gynecology, and general surgery patients
• Adhere to facility protocols for infusions, drips, and emergent procedures, contributing to rapid response and emergency care as part of the hospital’s code team
Required Qualifications
• Valid and current RN license in the state of Vermont
• Minimum of 2 years of medical-surgical telemetry nursing experience, with prior travel nursing preferred
• Experience with EPIC electronic medical record system within the past 2 years (non-negotiable)
• Certification in AHA BLS and ACLS (American Heart Association Basic Life Support and Advanced Cardiac Life Support)
• Insulin and cardiac drip management experience

• Ability to quickly adapt to a small, team-focused environment with a culture of collaboration and professional growth
• Strong critical thinking skills and ability to work independently on nights with minimal supervision

Additional Notes
• Travel rate is $100; local rate is $90 for shifts within 50 miles or less, with additional rates for out-of-area assignments
• All work history must be complete, including bed count, facility type, and EMR experience
• Reliable transportation is strongly recommended; vehicles should be equipped with all-season or snow tires during winter months
• No block schedules; flexible to hospital needs, including holiday staffing
• Bi-weekly orientation sessions available, next orientation date is 1/5
• Must explain employment gaps over 90 days
• Voluntary unit rotation within scope; no mandatory floating
• Facility provides 24/7 respiratory and anesthesia support, with critical care protocols in place
