- Full-time, Day shifts, 3 shifts per week, Onsite
Key Responsibilities
- Provide post-anesthesia care for surgical patients in a Level I Trauma Center
- Monitor and assess patients including ventilation, invasive monitoring, and pain management
- Manage patients with artificial airways, invasive monitoring including ICP, and vasoactive medications
- Collaborate with surgical teams to ensure safe recovery and discharge of patients
- Document patient care accurately using the EPIC charting system
- Follow hospital protocols for trauma, neuro, orthopedic, vascular, and other surgical recoveries
Required Qualifications
- Valid Registered Nurse license in Missouri (compact license acceptable if valid in Missouri)
- 2-3 years of recent ICU or critical care experience, including Level 1 Trauma patient care
- BLS and ACLS certifications
- Critical care skills such as dysrhythmia recognition, blood product administration, starting IVs, and blood transfusions
- Experience with ventilated patients, ICP monitoring, and vasoactive drugs
Preferred Experience / Skills
- EpIC charting system experience
- Previous PACU or acute post-op recovery experience in a hospital setting
- Strong understanding of surgical specialties including neurosurgery, orthopedics, ENT, plastics, trauma, and transplant
- Experience working with adult and geriatric populations
