Key Responsibilities
- Provide high acuity nursing care on a 36-bed Oncology Telemetry unit, including PCU and pediatric patients
- Monitor and interpret cardiac rhythms, manage dysrhythmias, and utilize advanced equipment such as telemetry systems and infusion pumps
- Administer chemotherapy, blood products, and manage IV lines, ports, and central lines
- Respond to rapid response calls and implement infection prevention protocols
- Collaborate with healthcare team to ensure patient safety and optimal outcomes
- Document patient care activities in compliance with hospital and unit policies
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of 2 years of oncology or high acuity PCU nursing experience (preferred but not mandatory)
- Valid compact or state nursing license in Ohio
- Certifications: Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS), Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), NIH
- Proficiency in dysrhythmia interpretation and peripheral/central line care
- Ability to float within units of similar or lower acuity level
- Experience with advanced monitoring equipment and invasive procedures
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Management of cardiac dysrhythmias and insulin protocols
- Chemotherapy administration and monitoring
- Wound care and wound vac management
- Arterial line management and surgical drain care
- Non-invasive airway management including CPAP/BIPAP and HFNC

Shift Details
- Night shift, 19:00 – 07:30, 3 shifts per week
Travel & Compliance
- Strict adherence to Ohio fingerprinting requirements; candidates must complete fingerprinting promptly after contract signing
- Non-Ohio residents within driving distance required to visit Ohio fingerprinting locations; distant travelers will receive fingerprinting packets
- RTO (Request for Time Off) must be included during submission and built into contract
- References: Two professional references; at least one from a leadership position, with former employees eligible after 6 months of separation
- Candidates must be eligible to work in Ohio with valid licensure and appropriate credentials
Note: This role requires excellent infection control and patient safety focus, with a preference for candidates experienced in oncology nursing and telemetry monitoring.
