Key Responsibilities
- Provide speech-language therapy to inpatient adult patients in a Magnet-level acute care hospital.
- Treat a diverse patient population with a focus on ICU to SNF/ outpatient levels of care.
- Complete specialized assessments, including MBS-IMP, for diagnosis and treatment planning.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement effective treatment plans.
- Document patient progress and clinical notes in the Epic electronic charting system.
- Occasionally work with patients from ICU level to post-acute settings, with possible ICU rotation based on clinical readiness.
Required Qualifications
- Valid Alaska Speech-Language Pathologist license (pending license accepted with a 10-12 week processing time).
- BLS certification.
- Experience with Epic charting system.
- Ability to work days, including 2 out of the 3 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Year).
- Must be at least 50 miles from the facility location to be considered.
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Previous inpatient or acute care therapy experience.
- Familiarity with MBS-IMP assessments.
- Ability to work independently within scope and adhere to hospital policies.

- Candidates must have at least 2 supervisory references covering six months to one year of employment within the last three years.

- Travel compliance documents, including RTO requests, must be included at submission.
- Candidates are expected to commit to no more than one calendar year in this assignment and take a minimum 6-month break before reapplying.
