• Rotating shift, 3x12-hour shifts per week (nights and days)

Key Responsibilities

• Provide specialized nursing care to pediatric patients up to 25 years old in the Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU).
• Monitor and assess patient conditions, including recognition of ECG rhythms and management of inotropes.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement patient care plans.
• Adhere to hospital protocols and maintain compliance with safety and infection control standards.
• Complete assessments and required testing during orientation, including ECG rhythm recognition and safeMedicate, with passing scores.
• Work at least every other holiday, supporting the hospital's operational needs.

Required Qualifications

• Minimum of 18 months of permanent pediatric nursing experience prior to travel assignments.
• Valid Ohio nursing license or active compact state license.
• Certification in BLS, ACLS, and PALS.
• Experience with epilepsy monitoring and specialized care for all pediatric ages up to 25 years.
• Ability to work rotating shifts, including nights and days.
• Successful completion of ECG rhythm recognition and safeMedicate assessments during orientation.
• Ability to pass background, drug screens, and fingerprinting within required timeframes.

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Recent travel experience in a pediatric or ICU setting.
• Experience with EKG interpretation and inotropes.
• NIHHS or similar pediatric trauma experience is a plus.

Additional Notes

• Candidates must have a permanent Ohio license or active compact license issued on or after 1/1/23.
• Travelers are expected to work at least every other holiday and are subject to shift rotations as needed.
• All certifications must be active and current; no pending documentation.
• Candidates must complete a background check, drug screen, and fingerprinting prior to start.
• Modules required for onboarding are billable, with a maximum of 4 hours.
