Key Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive palliative care to patients in a hospice setting.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized patient care plans.
- Administer medications, manage symptoms, and monitor patient progress.
- Educate patients and families regarding end-of-life care and comfort measures.
- Ensure compliance with all nursing standards and facility policies.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited professional nursing program; BSN preferred.
- Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Alaska.
- At least three (3) years of recent experience in a similar patient care environment; hospice experience preferred.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- Valid driver’s license, reliable transportation, and auto liability insurance. Mileage reimbursed at government rate.
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Experience in hospice or palliative care settings.
- Excellent communication and patient advocacy skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
