• Shift: Days (3x12-hour shifts), rotating nights (7pm-7:30am or 7am-7:30pm)

Key Responsibilities

• Provide high-level nursing care in the IMC, PCU, or Stepdown units at a major hospital facility.
• Float across various units as needed to meet operational requirements, including day and night shifts.
• Perform patient assessments, administer medications, and collaborate with healthcare teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
• Recognize and respond to cardiac rhythms, perform related assessments, and ensure safe medication administration.
• Comply with hospital protocols including participation in orientation assessments such as ECG rhythm recognition and SafeMedicate.
• Work at least every other holiday, supporting hospital staffing needs during peak times.

Required Qualifications

• Minimum of 18 months of permanent experience in a cardiac or stepdown care setting prior to travel.
• Valid Ohio or Compact State Registered Nurse license.
• Current BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications.
• Ability to pass ECG rhythm recognition and SafeMedicate assessments with acceptable scores.
• Experience with cardiac rhythm recognition and medication safety protocols.

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Recent experience in PCU/Progressive Care units.
• Travel nurse experience will be considered acceptable for previously gained cardiac stepdown experience.
• Familiarity with hospital electronic medical records and rating recognition tools.
