Key Responsibilities
- Provide specialized nursing care to obstetric patients in Labor and Delivery.
- Monitor fetal wellbeing and maternal status using electronic fetal monitoring equipment.
- Assist with childbirth procedures including vaginal deliveries and cesarean sections.
- Ensure immediate newborn care in accordance with hospital protocols.
- Collaborate with the healthcare team to deliver safe and efficient patient care.
- Adhere to hospital policies, safety standards, and confidentiality requirements.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of 2+ years of labor and delivery nursing experience.
- Valid BLS/ALS certifications.
- Certification in advanced fetal monitoring.
- Nursing license in the state of North Carolina.
- Ability to work the night shift (6:45 PM – 7:15 AM).
- Experience with high-risk obstetric cases and neonatal care.
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Circulating experience in obstetric procedures.
- Experience with surgical procedures like cesarean sections, D&C, cerclage, C-hyst.
- Outgoing, friendly, and adaptable personality.
- Previous experience with electronic fetal monitoring and neonatal intensive care.
