• Night shifts, 12 hours per shift (7 PM – 7 AM)
• 3 shifts per week

Key Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive nursing care to medical-surgical patients in a busy 18-bed unit.
• Collaborate with the healthcare team to deliver high-quality patient outcomes and ensure safety standards are met.
• Conduct patient assessments, administer medications, monitor vital signs, and respond to changing conditions.
• Follow unit policies on patient care, documentation, and equipment usage, including EMR updates in Meditech.
• Perform routine procedures such as Foley catheter care, central line management, and wound care while adhering to safety protocols.
• Support patient education and communicate effectively using tools like AIDET and bedside report.

Required Qualifications

• Valid Registered Nurse license in the state of Colorado.
• Proficiency with Meditech EMR system.
• Experience in trachs and ostomy care.
• Knowledge of general surgery procedures such as minimally invasive surgeries and ostomy management.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and shift priorities with ease.
• Compassionate, team-oriented, and invested in positive patient outcomes.

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Extensive experience with general surgery, including colectomy and plastic surgeries.
• Skilled in managing patients with CHF, COPD, sepsis, and DKA.
• Comfortable working with interns and residents in a teaching environment.
