Registered Nurse - Orthopedic

Schedule / Job Type:

Travel, 13-week assignment, Night shifts (7:00 PM - 7:00 AM)

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide patient care for orthopedic and spine patients in a busy hospital unit
• Perform procedures such as central line care, blood transfusions, and Foley/straight catheters
• Collaborate with a team of RNs, PCTs, and other staff to ensure quality patient outcomes
• Utilize telemetry and other medical equipment to monitor patient conditions
• Follow unit policies, guidelines, and safety protocols to maintain a high standard of care
• Document patient information accurately in the electronic medical record (Meditech)

Required Qualifications:

• Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Colorado
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
• Minimum 2 years of Med-Surg experience, preferably with orthopedic/spine units
• Ability to work night shifts and adapt to a fast-paced environment

Preferred Experience / Skills:

• Additional certification in Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS)
• Prior experience in orthopedic or spine units
• Familiarity with telemetry, epidurals, PCAs, and related equipment
• Strong teamwork and communication skills
