Job Title

• CVOR Surgery Technician

Schedule / Job Type

• Full-time, days shift, 12-hour shifts, 36-40 hours per week, typically Monday through Friday with call responsibilities

Key Responsibilities

• Assisting in the operating room under supervision of surgeons, anesthesiologists, and nurses, ensuring patient safety and proper equipment handling
• Preparing the operating/procedure room and surgical instruments, including passing tools and controlling equipment during surgery
• Assisting with patient positioning, safe transfer to the operating table, and participating in time-out procedures
• Collaborating with the surgical team to deliver patient-centered care and responding promptly to emergency situations
• Ensuring compliance with HIPAA, safety protocols, and department policies, while maintaining patient dignity and privacy
• Participating in post-operative evaluations, documentation, and effective hand-offs for follow-up care

Required Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Graduation from an accredited surgical technician program
• Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) credential
• CPR certification
• Prior OR experience preferred

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Open Heart surgery background experience
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Ability to problem-solve, manage multiple priorities, and work independently
