Key Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive echocardiogram studies, including transthoracic, transesophageal, stress, and pharmacological procedures, ensuring accurate and timely results.
• Conduct additional cardiac diagnostics such as EKG, Holter monitoring, and stress tests as assigned.
• Utilize mechanical devices and equipment to gather diagnostic data for cardiology physicians, including echocardiographs and cardiac stress systems.
• Manage hospital information systems to ensure proper scheduling, processing, and billing of procedures.
• Adhere to infection control protocols and maintain aseptic techniques through proper equipment disinfection.
• Provide clinical guidance and preceptorship to students from contracted colleges and universities.
• Perform cardiac diagnostic tests following age-specific guidelines, including neonatal and pediatric procedures.
• Perform all other duties within the scope of the role as assigned.

Required Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
• Registered Cardiac Sonographer credential
• Successful completion of a certification program or at least two years of hands-on echocardiography experience

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Extensive experience performing echocardiography studies in a hospital setting
• Proficiency in pediatric and neonatal echocardiography
• Additional certification in cardiovascular sonography
