Key Responsibilities
- Operate and maintain mammography imaging equipment according to manufacturer’s guidelines and departmental protocols.
- Perform diagnostic mammography procedures with accuracy and adherence to safety standards.
- Verify patient identity, review medical history, obtain informed consent, and educate patients about the imaging process.
- Maintain detailed and accurate patient records, including charging procedures and supplies.
- Ensure compliance with all regulatory and accreditation standards, including FDA guidelines and quality assurance processes.
- Assist in equipment troubleshooting, preventive maintenance, and quality improvement initiatives.
- Support additional modalities or clinical duties as needed, demonstrating flexibility and teamwork.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technologist program.
- ARRT registration in Radiology (R) and Mammography (M).
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification or willing to obtain within 90 days of hire.
- At least 18 years of age and legally authorized to work in the United States.
- Successful completion of background checks and pre-employment screening.
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Two or more years of experience as a practicing Radiologic Technologist, with proficiency in mammography.
- Cross-training in other modalities such as CT, MRI, or DEXA preferred.
- Experience with electronic record systems, including PACS and RIS/HIS.
