• Registered Nurse - Labor and Delivery
Location
• Hagerstown, MD
Schedule / Job Type
• Full-time, Night shifts, 4 nights per week (12-hour shifts)
Key Responsibilities
• Provide specialized nursing care to women during labor, delivery, and postpartum phases in a hospital setting.
• Collaborate with healthcare teams to coordinate patient care during labor and surgical recovery procedures.
• Administer medications, monitor maternal and fetal well-being, and respond to emergency situations as needed.
• Document patient progress and care activities accurately in EPIC and other electronic health record systems.
• Perform and assist with surgical recovery, including cesarean sections, ensuring patient safety and comfort.
• Participate in ongoing training modules and maintain required certifications for obstetric nursing.
Required Qualifications
• Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license.
• Minimum of 2 years’ experience in labor and delivery or related obstetric nursing.
• Certification in NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program).
• Certifications: AWHONN, FHM, OB surgical recovery (C-section) preferred.
• EPIC experience is required.
Preferred Experience / Skills
• Experience using Relias/Net Learning portal for training modules.
• Ability to work flexible on-call hours based on staffing needs.
• Strong teamwork and communication skills in high-pressure environments.
