Schedule / Job Type
- Full-time, Day shift (8:00 AM – 5:00 PM), Monday through Friday
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and administer medically prescribed physical therapy treatments to patients with injuries, muscle, nerve, joint, and bone conditions
- Educate patients and caregivers on treatment plans and exercises
- Participate in discharge planning and complete all required documentation according to facility policy
- Direct patient participation in therapy tasks to restore, reinforce, and enhance physical performance
- Collaborate with clinical team to ensure optimal patient care and recovery
Required Qualifications
- Virginia or compact state license in Physical Therapy in hand at the time of submission
- CPR certification
- Minimum 1 year of home health experience (new graduates open to apply)
- Ability to work 8-hour shifts during weekdays
- Candidate must have a clean background and no prior license or background hits
- Must meet travel compliance requirements, including address verification within 50 miles of facility, and pass fit testing with no issues
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Experience with Home Health settings
- Familiarity with MatrixCare or Epic software systems (not required but preferred)
- Experience with Orthopedic cases for weekend coverage (every 4th or 5th weekend)
- EKG testing proficiency for telemetry units (applicable for some settings)
