Key Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality nursing care to medical-surgical patients in a hospital setting
- Perform procedures including IV starts, NGT placement, wound care, and cardiac rhythm interpretation
- Monitor patient conditions using telemetry and other medical equipment
- Document patient care accurately in the electronic documentation system (Editech)
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to meet patient needs and ensure positive patient experiences
- Adhere to hospital policies and safety protocols, including proper dress code with navy scrubs
Required Qualifications
- Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license
- BLS certification
- Experience with IV starts, NGT placement, wound care, and cardiac monitoring
- Skills in cardiac rhythm interpretation
- Ability to work night shifts and adapt to floating between units as needed
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Prior experience in medical-surgical nursing
- Knowledge of wound vacs, heparin GTT, suction, IV pumps, glucometers, bladder scanners, feeding pumps, and telemetry equipment
- Strong interpersonal skills with a positive attitude and excellent patient/customer service focus
