Key Responsibilities

• Provide occupational therapy services to inpatient rehab patients at Johnston Willis Hospital.
• Assist patients with neuro-rehabilitation, including stroke rehab, using specialized technology and techniques.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to develop and implement individualized treatment plans.
• Document patient progress and treatment accurately using medical record systems.
• Work a 12-hour shift from 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM, Monday through Friday, with rotating weekends.
• Float to other hospital therapy departments as needed.

Required Qualifications

• Valid occupational therapy license for Virginia.
• Experience in hospital inpatient rehab, particularly with stroke patients.
• Proficiency with neuro-rehabilitation procedures and technologies such as Bioness, RT300 UE Bike, Diego, and XCITE Functional E Stim.
• Ability to work 40 hours per week on 12-hour shifts.
• Comfortable working in a dynamic hospital environment and following safety protocols.

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Prior experience with hospital DNV Stroke and Brain Tumor Certifications or Joint Commission Rehab Stroke Certification.
• Strong communication skills and motivation to learn.
• Team-oriented with the ability to adapt to floating between departments.
