• Registered Nurse - PACU

Schedule / Job Type
• Travel, Days shifts, 13-week assignment, 4 shifts per week, 9.5 hours per shift
Key Responsibilities
• Provide post-anesthesia care to patients in a specialized PACU unit with a focus on cardiac and stress lab procedures.
• Monitor patient vital signs and ensure safety during recovery from anesthesia, including conscious sedation and cardioversion.
• Utilize advanced equipment such as GE monitors and stress treadmills, and perform procedures like TEE, cardioversion, and conscious sedation.
• Ensure excellent patient care with good bedside manner and respectful communication.
• Follow hospital policies and unit-specific protocols, maintaining proper documentation in systems like Maclab and Expanse.
• Collaborate with a close-knit team of RNs, techs, and cardiology specialists to deliver high-quality care.
Required Qualifications
• Active Virginia RN license (must be active at the time of submission).
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in a hospital setting, specifically in PACU or stress lab.
• Current certifications: BLS, ACLS, and CPR.
Preferred Experience / Skills
• Experience with conscious sedation, cardiac telemetry, and cardioversion.
• Familiarity with TEE procedures and working with advanced stress testing equipment.
• Strong interpersonal skills to communicate effectively and maintain patient comfort.
