Schedule / Job Type
• Full-time, temporary travel assignment
• Shift: Days, 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM
• 3 shifts per week, 12 hours per shift

Key Responsibilities
• Provide bedside patient care in a Medical Surgical unit with a focus on stroke and neurology.
• Manage patient assessments, medication administration, and clinical documentation.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team to ensure quality patient outcomes.
• Adhere to unit protocols and safety procedures.
• Maintain accurate EMR entries using Meditech.
• Engage with patients compassionately and promote a positive hospital experience.

Required Qualifications
• Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Virginia or appropriate state.
• BLS certification.
• At least 2 years of recent medical-surgical nursing experience.
• Must have or be willing to obtain NIH Stroke certification.
• ACLS certification is preferred.
• Ability to work 12-hour day shifts.

Preferred Experience / Skills
• Experience working in a neuro or stroke-designated unit.
• Knowledge of remote telemonitoring equipment.
• Strong patient communication and teamwork skills.
• Upbeat, engaged, and compassionate personality.
