Schedule / Job Type

• Full-time, 13-week travel assignment, days shift, working 12-hour shifts

Key Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care to patients on a medical-surgical unit with a focus on patient safety and comfort
• Assist neurologists with bedside procedures such as lumbar punctures (LPs)
• Perform procedures including central line dressing changes, wound care, tube feedings, and Foley catheter insertions
• Monitor and assess patient conditions, including neuro assessments and vital signs
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to ensure quality patient care
• Document patient information accurately using Meditech EMR system

Required Qualifications

• Active Compact RN license
• Minimum of 2 years hospital experience in a medical-surgical setting
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications
• Strong teamwork, compassion, and patience qualities

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Excellent communication skills
• Neuro assessment expertise

• Unit: Medical-Surgical (PNCU) with 18 beds
• Staff: 13 RNs, 5 LPNs, 25 PCTs
• Patient Ratio: 5-6:1
• Equipment Used: Feeding pumps, peg tubes, IVs, central lines, drains, EKGs
• Shift Hours: 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM, every 3rd weekend
• Dress Code: Navy scrubs
