- Full-time, travel, day shifts, 12-hour shifts, working 3 days per week
Key Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive nursing care to inpatient rehabilitation patients in a 35-bed unit.
- Administer medications, including IV therapies, blood products, and other treatments.
- Monitor patient's vital signs and equipment such as Baxter IV pumps, SCDs, bladder scanners, and more.
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team including physical, occupational, and speech therapists, physicians, and neuropsychologists to support patient recovery and functional independence.
- Document patient care accurately in the Meditech system.
- Follow hospital protocols and safety procedures to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
Required Qualifications
- Valid VA RN license
- BLS certification
- 2+ years of Med/Surg or Progressive Care Unit (PCU) experience
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Prior experience in rehabilitation settings
- Knowledge of procedures including IV therapy, bladder scans, trach care, tube feeding, Foley catheter management, bladder irrigation, and blood administration
