Job Title

Schedule / Job Type

• Travel, Full-time, 13-week assignment, Nights shifts (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM), working 3 shifts per week

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care to adult and adolescent psychiatric patients in a hospital setting
• Monitor patient condition through observation, vital signs, and documentation in electronic health records
• Utilize de-escalation techniques and behavioral management strategies to ensure safety and stability
• Administer medication, perform patient searches, and manage milieu safety protocols
• Collaborate with team members to facilitate group therapy and educational sessions
• Ensure documentation compliance using Meditech EHR system

Required Qualifications

• Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Virginia
• Minimum of 2 years of behavior health experience
• Certification in BLS and CPI (Crisis Prevention and Intervention)
• Proficiency in electronic health record documentation and clinical skills such as blood pressure measurement, glucometer use, and EKG interpretation

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience working in psychiatric or behavioral health units with adolescent and adult populations
• Strong verbal de-escalation and crisis management skills
• Ability to float across multiple units as needed
