Key Responsibilities

• Perform varied histology procedures, including routine and specialized techniques, on fresh and fixed tissue samples.
• Ensure accurate preparation and processing of tissue specimens for diagnostic purposes.
• Maintain compliance with laboratory safety and quality standards.
• Document procedures and results accurately in laboratory systems.
• Assist in maintaining laboratory equipment and supplies.
• Support pathology team with histology-related tasks as needed.

Required Qualifications

• Certification as a Histologic Technician (HT) with ASCP or equivalent.
• Experience with a wide range of histology procedures.
• Ability to work effectively in a large, high-volume pathology lab.
• Strong attention to detail and accurate documentation skills.
• Knowledge of laboratory safety protocols.

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Previous experience in a level 1 hospital facility or similar large-scale medical environment.
• Familiarity with both routine and specialized histology techniques.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
