Key Responsibilities

• Coordinate patient care with physicians, nurses, families, and other caregivers.
• Assess, recommend, and follow therapy plans, including invasive and non-invasive procedures such as mechanical ventilation, airway management, intubation support, oxygen therapy, and pulmonary procedures.
• Obtain and document diagnostic data like arterial blood gases, pulmonary function tests, cardiac stress testing, and ECGs.
• Support and educate patients’ families and caregivers on managing acute and chronic respiratory conditions and psychosocial aspects.
• Utilize equipment such as ventilators, pulse oximeters, and cardiac monitors using computerized charting systems.

Required Qualifications

• Current Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) licensure and/or Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRT) credential from the NBRC.
• Graduation from an accredited respiratory therapy program (CoARC-accredited or eligible).
• Minimum of 18 months recent respiratory therapy experience in an acute care setting; 3 years preferred.
• Current BLS healthcare provider CPR certification.
• NRP certification required prior to start; ACLS certification required prior to start.

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience working independently overnight shifts.
• Ability to handle acute stabilization on infants.
• Comfort working with complex respiratory procedures.
